Milford Sound - NZ

Milford Sound / Piopiotahi is a 15 km long fjord within Fiordland National Park and part of the Piopiotahi (Milford Sound) Marine Reserve.

The 53.5 km long Milford Track, one of New Zealand's Great Walks, leads from Lake Te Anau to Sandfly Point in Milford Sound. The track follows routes first used by Maori and takes three days to walk. Quintin McKinnon was the first European to discover the pass in 1888 and would become the first to guide tourists to Milford Sound via the track.
