Mount Aspiring National Park Aerials - NZ

New Zealand's third largest and least developed national park, Mount Aspiring National Park is one of the four parks to make up the Te Wahipounamu World Heritage Site.

The park is formed almost exclusively by glaciation, taking its name from Mount Aspiring / Tititea (glistening peak in Maori). Mount Aspiring is significant as it’s the only peak in New Zealand outside Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park that is over 3000m. The mountain is flanked by Bonar, Therma and Volta glaciers, three of the park's over 100 glaciers. Popular for walking, climbing, fishing and hunting, the park is home to a host of New Zealand's unique flora and fauna living in its diverse habitats.
